Why team mode

Stop sharing logins โ€” collaborate the right way

Shared logins lose attribution, blur audit trails, and create real security risk. Indexly gives every teammate their own seat with scoped permissions, comment threads, and a tamper-proof activity log.

Invite anyone, free seats

Every paid plan includes unlimited team members โ€” no per-seat pricing tax for adding the full content, SEO, and analytics team.

Granular RBAC

Five built-in roles cover 95% of teams. Custom roles and per-resource permissions on enterprise plans.

Agency-ready workspaces

Bifurcate clients across team members so an account manager only ever sees the brands they actually work on.

Audit log & SSO

Tamper-proof audit log, SAML SSO, SCIM provisioning, and 2FA โ€” ready for SOC 2 and ISO 27001 evidence.

RBAC

Five roles that map to how teams actually work

Role-Based Access Control out of the box โ€” no permission spreadsheets to maintain. Custom roles available on enterprise plans.

Owner

  • Billing
  • Delete workspace

Editor

  • Generate articles
  • Edit drafts
  • Publish to CMS
  • Comment

  • View dashboards
  • View reports
  • No edits

Built for agencies

Bifurcate clients across your team

Group client sites into workspaces, then hand each workspace to the account manager who owns it. Freelancers and contractors only see the brands they're engaged on. Owners and admins keep the birds-eye-view across every client.

  • Workspace per client

Each client site lives in its own workspace with isolated data.

  • Per-site assignment

Restrict any teammate to a single client or a curated set.

  • White-label reports

Client-facing reports use your brand and domain, not Indexly's.

  • Threaded comments

Internal threads on every report โ€” keep client conversations in one place.

Frequently asked questions

Everything about inviting teammates, RBAC roles, and managing client workspaces in Indexly.

How do I invite team members to my Indexly workspace?

Open Settings โ†’ Team in your Indexly workspace, click Invite, enter the teammate's email, choose a role (Owner, Admin, Editor, Analyst, or Viewer), and optionally restrict them to specific client sites. They receive an email invite and join your workspace in under a minute.

What is RBAC and how does Indexly implement it?

RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) is a security model where permissions are assigned to roles, and roles are assigned to users. Indexly ships five default roles โ€” Owner, Admin, Editor, Analyst, Viewer โ€” each with a tightly scoped set of permissions covering content publishing, billing, audits, integrations, and reports. Custom roles are available on enterprise plans.

Can agencies assign specific clients to specific team members?

Yes. Agencies can group client sites into workspaces and assign each workspace (or a subset of sites within it) to specific team members. An account manager handling Acme Corp will only see Acme's data; a freelance writer on the Beta Inc engagement will only see Beta. Owners and admins retain a top-level view across all clients.

Do team plans charge per seat?

No. Indexly does not charge per seat. Every paid plan includes unlimited team members so you can invite the full content, SEO, and analytics team without budgeting around headcount.

Can my team leave comments on reports and drafts?

Yes. Inline comment threads work on AI visibility reports, citation gaps, prompt-tracking dashboards, content briefs, and AI-generated drafts. Mentions notify teammates by email and in-app, and threads can be resolved once acted on.

Is there an audit log for sensitive actions?

Yes. Indexly keeps a tamper-proof audit log of role changes, invites, integration connects/disconnects, content publishes, and billing events. Owners and admins can filter by user, action, or date range and export the log as CSV for SOC 2 and ISO 27001 evidence.
